Mayhem Mental Conditioning // Mayhem Mindset Course Q&A

QUESTION #1: The idea of finding my purpose or my WHY is daunting; how do I get started?

Jim's Coaching Point: Many people think of purpose as an elusive theme for their life that will be hard to discover. In truth, it’s really not that hard to define in your life, but it does take some work. I want you to think about purpose as something specific to you; it’s unique to you as an individual, it is in your design as a person, and it comes from the essence of who you are. The Mayhem Mindset Course is a process you can use to start establishing your personal identity and get the things you believe in the most organized into clear guiding principles or core values for you to use to help you with your life’s choices. Doing this work will help you find clarity on the idea of defining purpose for your life.

QUESTION #2: At this point in my life, no matter what I seem to do, I never seem to feel right. What do I need to do to feel better about my life?

Jim's Coaching Point: Many people work hard at always trying to feel right; that’s pretty normal because we all feel first; that’s the way our brain functions. However, it’s important to remember that there are so many valuable things in life we have to do that will never feel good. Doing some work to understand how the brain works is important; you probably not crazy, ha, then it is necessary to develop some mindset tools so we can live our lives with emotion and meaning, not because of emotion and momentum. Your emotions will always be a war with what is valuable in your life; you need to balance your emotions with your beliefs. Reaching your potential will mean you are good at controlling your emotions. Stop trying to feel right before you do the work to define yourself and create mindset tools so you can capture your emotions and move forward toward purpose and meaning in your life.

QUESTION #3: I know I lie to myself, and I don’t trust myself. Some of my fears seem to freeze me up, and I am stuck in an unhealthy cycle. What can I do about this?

Jim's Coaching Point: Some people have built their lives on half-truths. It will take time and effort to eliminate the stories you tell yourself. It can be deflating when we realize we have a lot of work to do. First, remind yourself of your potential; remember there is no arriving in life. Life is a journey; we were created to grow and come forward. Start where you’re at and work to grow. Start with something you can handle, experience success, then tackle the next thing. The Mayhem Mindset Course will guide you through a proven process that will help you create the perspective and mindset tools you can use to free yourself from that unhealthy cycle of fear and mistrust.

QUESTION # 4: I’m interested, but the Mayhem Mindset Course is too expensive for me.

Jim's Coaching Point: If I could hand you the answers for your life, what would you be willing to pay for those answers? That’s an interesting question even though we know it’s not possible. Ok then, what if I could show you a way for you to create those answers for your life? What would you be willing to pay for that process? It’s pretty hard to put a number on freedom, purpose, and meaning.

A barrier for entry is key to moving forward. I’ve learned that just because someone needs help doesn’t mean they can be helped. Just because someone asks for help doesn’t mean they can be helped. It’s different for each of us, and we all arrive at a place in life where we are ready to do the work on ourselves to develop these answers.

Understand I believe we give and sacrifice for others without needing anything in return, I believe in that, and I live it. However, that’s not what the Mayhem Mindset Process is designed to do. The Mayhem Mindset Course is the equivalent of a summer college course in content and work requirements. It’s not for everybody, and that’s ok. If you have reached the place in your life where it’s become necessary for you to know who you are so you can decide what to do next. If you are ready to invest in your life and you are ready to go to work, then the Mayhem Mindset Course might be worth it for you. -Strength and Honor
