Mayhem Mindset // How To Attack That Problem Your Avoiding

IMG_9946.jpg

What are you doing today to take action concerning that problem you’ve been avoiding!? Do you have the strength to do something about it right now at this moment as you read this !?!

Or… is your mind stuck in the past with worry or regret about it, or are you lost in a fog of imagination about the future, daydreaming of what it should be?

ACT NOW! Right now, choose to challenge that situation and DO SOMETHING about it!

If you're still reading this, then there is a chance you might respond. Get a pen and paper and do this work to create a mindset tool to act on. Forward movement is the goal here! Shame, fear, and worry are overcome by intentionally putting your emotions in neutral (you can control your emotions) and focusing on the next behavior, not the outcome!

QUICKLY CREATE A MINDSET TOOL

  • Choose your VALUE; a core value is necessary as the foundation of your forward movement. So what is the WHY for your action? Remember, emotion is not useful right now. You're doing this because you believe it’s the right thing to do. The action here is based on a STRONG BELIEF or CORE VALUE!

CORE VALUE ________________

  • Next, choose your ATTITUDE. Again, I’m not talking about how you feel. ATTITUDE = A settled way of thinking. Write down a word representing your attitude and demeanor as you begin to carry this out.

ATTITUDE __________________

  • Choose now where your EFFORT starts and ends. I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE RESULTS! I’m talking about a predetermined understanding of your commitment and effort. For example, decide where the conversation will start and determine how much time you will allow for the conversation. Remember, your not thinking or trying to control the outcome here. You are concerned with your behavior during the predetermined conversation, the time frame, or EFFORT you give this.

EFFORT _____________________

You should have written two words that clearly outlined your movement forward and quickly determined the start and finish of your effort.

  1. Core Value = your Why for what you are doing

  2. The Attitude = you are committed to maintaining

  3. Where your = Effort starts and ends

COACHING POINT - This must be a values-based action with your emotions under control along with a clearly defined start and finish to your effort. Act based on the value, control your attitude and hold yourself accountable for your effort.

BE POWERFUL = Say what you mean, mean what you say, and take what you get. S&H!

Keep Coming Forward
